Dr. Cheryl E. Morales DVM

Veterinarian / Owner

Dr. Morales was born and raised in Devine, Texas – a small town south of San Antonio. She received her Bachelors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995 and then went on to graduate from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She has practiced in the Houston area for over 20 years, but spent a few years as a relief veterinarian in the Tyler / Longview area before moving back and settling down in Cypress. Her interests include small mammal exotic animal medicine, feline internal medicine, dermatology and oncology.

Dr. Morales and her husband are proud Cy-Fair residents. Their family includes two daughters, two dogs, three cats and a rabbit. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, Netflix and challenging friends and family to classic rock music trivia!

Dr. Rebecca Shipley Holland

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Rebecca Holland was born in Houston and grew up in the Tomball area. She always knew from a very young age that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in 2015 and went on to graduate from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Dr. Holland practiced as a shelter veterinarian for almost 3 years at the Houston SPCA before coming to Cypress Lakes Animal Hospital. She gained a large amount of experience in soft tissue surgery (~2,000 surgeries in 2.5 years), radiology, emergency medicine and actively participated in cruelty investigations.
Dr. Holland has had a close friendship with Dr. Morales since the age of 16 when she started working as a kennel technician at the same clinic Dr. Morales was practicing at. Dr. Morales was a mentor for Dr. Holland through her college years and actually wrote her recommendation letter for vet school. This is why it only feels natural that she come to work at Cypress Lakes Animal Hospital. Her passions include soft tissue surgery, spay/neuter, preventative care, and neurology. She also has a very soft spot in her heart for special needs animals as she has 3, three-legged rescue dogs at home named Happy (Italian greyhound mix missing forelimb), Camper (Chihuahua mix missing forelimb) and Raisin (Yorkie mix missing hindlimb). Her hobbies include traveling with her husband, visiting breweries/wineries and watching true crime.
Dr. Holland and her husband Cody also welcomed their son Nolan into their family in July 2024!

Dr. Gracelynn Morrow

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Gracelynn Morrow is passionate about veterinary medicine and its unique ability to help people by helping their pets.  A third generation Aggie, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences as well as a Certificate in Public Health Entomology with honors from Texas A&M  in 2019.  She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 2023, where she graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Zeta honor society for veterinary medicine. While in veterinary school, she had the opportunity to complete her senior veterinary externship at Cypress Lakes Animal Hospital, and was overjoyed to have the opportunity to return here as a veterinarian.
While Dr. Morrow loves many aspects of veterinary medicine, she is most passionate about feline medicine, small mammal (pocket pet) medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, and public health and preventative care. When she is not in the clinic, Dr. Morrow enjoys baking, traveling, and spending time with her family as well as her two cats, Simba and Oliver.  She is also trained in classical ballet and tap, and loves learning new forms of dance and artistic expression.

Being a vet tech allows her to incorporate her passion for science with her love of animals. Her favorite parts of the job are getting to know the pets, assisting with and monitoring anesthetic procedures, and honing her technical skills. She has a Great Pyrenees named Bogey and hopes to one day adopt a retired racing greyhound. Rachel is currently working toward becoming an LVT at Penn Foster. In her free time she enjoys movies, video games, and spending time with family.
